The DDW-220 industrial ATEX Ethernet Extender is the perfect solution for extending your Ethernet network over copper cables where in the past the only option would have been fibre. The transfer rate for the industrial ATEX Ethernet Extender is as fast as 5.7Mbit/s in both directions. The DDW-220 uses technology with transmission distances of up to 10 km (6.2 miles) at lower data rates.

The SHDSL transmission technology makes the DDW-220 industrial ATEX Ethernet Extender the ideal solution for the re-use of existing copper cable installations from older communication networks. The ATEX Ethernet Extender has got two SHDSL interfaces and can therefore be used to create a daisy-chain network.

The DDW-220 industrial ATEX Ethernet Extender is an easy to use plug and play device with Class 1, Division 2 certification allowing the DDW-220 to be installed in hazardous or potentially explosive environments containing volatile, flammable vapours and gases. The certification enables the units to be deployed in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, processing, metalworking and verious other industries that operate in harsh environments.

The industrial Ethernet Connector has extensive line protection and reverse polarity protection.
