The iANT 202 is a dual-planar slant polarised antenna, which is ATEX approved as simple apparatus for use in all hazardous area environments.
The iANT202 is optimised for use in WLAN installations in the 2.4GHz spectrum for IEEE802.11 a/b/g wireless networks or 2.4GHz wireless mesh Ethernet networks. It can be used with the Extronics range of access points and mesh routers such as the iWAP102, iWAP200 and iWAP300.
It is important to note that the iANT 200 range of antennae are classed as "Simple Apparatus" under ATEX. This means that they are assessed to be safe to use in Hazardous Area, but must be connected to a suitably certified wireless device with an intrinsically safe RF output, such as our iWAP200. The iANT 200 range of antennae cannot be connected to a Non-Approved device and still retain their ATEX suitability.
Our iANT 100 and 101 antennae are ATEX Exe type and can be used in a Hazardous Area even when connected to a suitable NonApproved wireless device, as the design of these antennae provides the protection.
The ATEX Zone 0 iANT 202 can be connected to an existing ATEX Router, instead of the regular (low range) antenna, you'll have an extra large range when using the iANT 202. For example, when you are deploying WiFi (WLAN) to your chemical plant, you can save access points using the iANT 202.
