Configuration Options
Outdoor units can be configured for three different installation scenarios:
Configuration 1: ATEX Indoor Unit + Standard Outdoor Unit in Safe Area
Most common and cost-effective setup. The ATEX-certified indoor unit operates in the hazardous zone while the standard outdoor unit is installed in a non-classified safe area.
Configuration 2: Standard Indoor Unit + ATEX Outdoor Unit for Zone 2
Used when the outdoor environment is classified as hazardous (Zone 2 or 22), such as outdoor processing areas on offshore platforms or chemical facilities.
Configuration 3: Both Units ATEX-Certified for Zone 2
Complete explosion-proof system when both indoor and outdoor locations are within classified hazardous zones.
