Specific conditions of use (X)
- Remove, change or charge the battery pack only outside hazardous areas.
- The impact test according to IEC 60079-0 was performed with reduced height. Protect the device from impacts with high impact energy.
- Protect the device against excessive UV light and against processes that generate high electrostatic charges.
- Never use external connections in hazardous areas. Keep the interface cover closed in hazardous areas.
- Clean the device only with a damp cloth.
- Equipment description on the ATEX certificate: use the device only with the accessories X-Strap, Shoulder-Strap, Hand-Strap or Leathercase approved by the manufacturer.
- SGS certificate (North America): charge only with the supplied charging adaptor type FSP065-RAB, FSP065-REBN2 or FSP065-RBBN3 (FSP Group), in a non-hazardous location only, and close the I/O port cover before entering the hazardous location.

Applications
The ATEX and IECEx certificates describe the Pad-Ex 01 as an intrinsically safe rugged tablet PC for explosive hazardous areas of Zone 2 and Zone 22.
